Perhaps not a pleasant photo for sensitive eyes, yet still a harsh reality for some: extreme callus buildup on the foot, unfortunately often with causes that are hereditary and chronic. My patient shows deep cloves that have formed in just a few months and bring a lot of discomfort. This cannot be removed with a simple callus rasp, so I will carefully cut away the dry dead skin with a medical scalpel; otherwise, the healthy skin underneath could tear and cause very painful inflammations later.
