Massage

As a cosmedical beautician, I do not offer conventional spa massages, but I make time to work with you to find out what your specific muscle or joint complaints are and what we can do to alleviate them, whilst never leaving touch on your body. This can be done at different intensities in one of the following predetermined treatments:

1. Relaxing

During a relaxing massage I will use my hands to supple your skin in the four quadrants of the body. In doing so, I will try to identify your muscle problems and gently relieve pressure in the connective tissue to reduce the effects of stress, pain and stiffness. Combined with a suitable oil and my extensive knowledge of the muscular system, we can calmly locate your pain points in order to treat them carefully and spend extra time kneading your muscles where it is needed.

2. Sporty

A sports massage can take place before or after a workout. If so, I will deeply stimulate the muscles by making many rapid movements with my hands and fingertips to stimulate blood circulation and wake up those muscles. After a workout I will use deeper movements with the aim of draining the lactic acid from the muscles, for example by scrapping with Gua Sha. A properly applied massage reduces the recovery time of the muscles and prevents pain, blockages or knots.

3. Deep Tissue

During this intensive treatment I use my own bodyweight as pressure onto your muscles. By deeply stimulating them and concentrating on hard petrisals and pressure points, we can make deep knots and blockages within the muscles supple again and remobilize stiff joints. Whether it concerns chronic complaints or problems resulting from intensive sports, power training or too much sitting still; my thumbs, insight (and bamboo sticks) will do their best to alleviate your ailment!

Ethereal

For my massage treatments I have an extensive range of oils, each with a specific purpose. For example, oil with Rosemary stimulates blood circulation, Aloe Vera nourishes very dry skin, Eucalyptus opens the airways and relieves inflammation,... or I use a basic (hypoallergenic) oil and/or joint gel if your specific ailment requires it. In any case, you will always receive tailor-made treatment from me.
