Skintags
Skintags are common benign skin lesions that may form over time. They are little more than pockets of empty skin that are growing away from the body and cause no harm besides looking unappealing. They may appear in many different forms and locations on the body, but if the base of the skin tag (where it connect to your body) is smaller than 3mm in diameter, I can easily and instantly remove them for you using electro-thermolysis. Electrocauterisation
Because the skintag tissue is very much alive, we cannot simply cut them away, as this could lead to bleeding or infection of the skin. What we can do, is cauterise the excess skin using electrical heat, slowly burning the base of the skin tag away, sealing blood vessels simmultaneously. This approach causes a minimum of pain and allows the treated area to heal quickly, forming a tiny scab that will soon after fall off. So expect a bit of soreness and a small healing period after your procedure. Electrolysis
Procedure
It is always best that you consult me about skin tags before booking an appointment, that way I can tell you for sure if I can treat them or if you need to go to a dermatologist for a surgical approach. Usually it will take about 10 minutes to properly remove a skin tag, and I can do multiple ones within an appointment. Just remember that you might want a comfortable side to sleep on, so maybe best be selective about the regions you want to do per visit.
