Masculinisation

Trans (or intersex) men are often overlooked, seen as a fad, or taken less seriously; but throughout the ages there have been many documented cases of people who were assigned female at birth taking on a more masculine role or appearance in later life, either by choice or necessity. You have found your way here, perhaps as a tomboy, non binary person, interested ally or someone who is actively transitioning; to battle another stereotype: namely that people in your situation have no need for beauty care, but boy, how that's wrong. So here's what I can do for you:

Side Effects

Behaving/looking manly (enough) is a worry that both trans and cis men undergo for big parts of their life, and now also is the question how far you wish to go to reach your 'enough'. Physical masculinisation begins with hormone replacement therapy. Testosterone stops your monthly cycle, increases bodily and facial hair growth, allows you to gain muscle mass, but it can also give you bouts of energy, stress and ...acne. This can be particularly bad at first so the key here is to keep up a good routine, and follow the same steps as anyone else in my salon. Hormonal Acne

Proper Aftercare

If you elect to have work done, top surgery is usually the first big step. While binding is hurtful and hinders you while going to the beach or gym, mastectomy scars can be large and visible, but there actually is a lot we can do to minimise them. To fasten up the healing process I offer LED irradiation and IPL courses to amp up the collagen renewal process whilst reducing early stage redness (discoloration) by directly targeting blood vessels in the scar tissue. Later you can undergo microneedling to even out the lines and smoothen the chest surface. Scars Healing

Proper Precare

These techniques will help you with any kind of plastic surgery you wish to undergo including facial masculinisation (cheek bone implants) and bottom surgery. If you so elect to leave your packer behind and go for a more filled-up approach, your have two options, either a metoidioplasty or a phalloplasty. The later requires a piece of skin (forearm or thigh) to be prepared and completely rid of hair to avoid complications, which we can achieve using Laser and Electrolysis, making sure we get the dark ones as well as the the thin, white and peach hairs. Hair Loss Prevention

Whilst testosterone makes the hairs in the donor area thicker and thus easier to laser, it has the opposite effect on the top of your head. Male pattern balding is something many a man is troubled by and something to consider a risk early on. Perhaps you are not bothered by this, and then so much the better for you, but if you are, you are sadly limited in what you can do about it. Finasteride and testosterone don't make for a good combo, and though it 'is' possible to take both, it comes with a few complications, so have a look at what else we can do: Scalp Treatment

A bit of magic

Permanent makeup is not yet something I offer at this point, but which I hope to add to my list of treatments in the foreseeable future. Through advanced techniques like microblading, scar camouflage and areola reconstruction I would be able to provide you with the perfect touchup to make your lips and eyebrows look more masculine, draw hair where needed and mask some of the complications that can arise through your operations. However, this all takes a lot of training to perfect and I don't want to offer anything less than that. | COMING SOON-ish

Feeling Lost?

A lot of these things can be overwhelming and that is OK, especially at a younger age. You will learn more about yourself and your sexuality with the years and don't have to decide anything right now. Perhaps you just like being androgynous or you know exactly what you need in life; it is all fine. The trans umbrella has a lot of branches and "Questioning" is not without reason the fifth letter of our Alphabet. But know that there are inclusive, welcoming and supporting places like mine and people who can help you with your questions, so don't be afraid to reach out!
